Ayoconnect's COO & Founder Chiragh Kirpalani Mentoring Session at Fintech Forward

On Monday, 26 July 2021, Ayoconnect's COO and Founder Chiragh Kirpalani participated as a mentor on Fintech Forward Program by AWS and Saison Capital.

The Fintech Forward program powered by AWS and Saison Capital is designed to help startups to build the next generation of fintech integrations & products for the Southeast Asia region.  During his session, Chiragh gave his insight of Southeast Asia's payment ecosystem along with several expected trends ahead.

“As one of the most populated (most of them are young millennials) countries in the world with 5% YoY real GDP growth, Indonesia has so much potential. The macroeconomic and demographic trends in Indonesia are expected to drive robust growth,” explained Chiragh.

In addition to the macroeconomic and demographic opportunities, he highlights that the fintech business in Indonesia will continue to strive as the middle class continues to adopt digital solutions. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the shift of customers’ payment behavior.

“MSME and acquisition agents will be the big drivers of this ecosystem. Consecutively, the rise of embedded finance will further push the front-end applications to plug financial products to offer their customer base. Ayoconnect's bill payment technology services support our clients and partners with wide ranges of digital products to help them fulfill their customers' needs,” said Chiragh.

Chiragh also adds that despite the opportunities in hand, the most important thing to keep in mind is to build and maintain good communication with your clients. He continued, “Having the trust from clients, partners or customers is extremely crucial. Their trust will more likely lead to an increased business opportunity.”
